Exhaust Manifold - LH End Section for the 300TDi 2.5L inline 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine.

Forms the left-hand (longer elbow) section of the two-piece cast iron exhaust manifold assembly. Collects exhaust gases from the cylinder head ports on the left side and routes them toward the central turbocharger mounting flange. Fitted in conjunction with the right-hand end section (ERR4001) to form the complete manifold. Replace when cracked, warped, or leaking at the cylinder head or inter-section joint.

Frequently asked questions

What is the exhaust manifold branch ERR4000?
The ERR4000 is the left-hand section of the two-piece cast iron exhaust manifold for the 300TDi 2.5L turbo diesel. It collects exhaust gas from the left-side cylinder head ports and routes it toward the central turbocharger flange.
Do I need both halves of the manifold?
This ERR4000 is only the left-hand branch. The complete manifold also needs the right-hand end section, ERR4001. If you're replacing a cracked manifold, order both halves so the assembly seals correctly at the turbo flange.
Which vehicles and engine does it fit?
It fits the 300TDi 2.5L diesel in the Defender (1987-2006), Discovery 1, and Range Rover Classic (1992-1994, from VIN JA610294). It's specific to the 300TDi, not the earlier 200TDi or later Td5.
Why do these manifolds fail?
300TDi exhaust manifolds typically crack or warp from repeated heat cycling, causing an exhaust leak and a ticking noise at the head or the joint between sections. Replace the branch when it's cracked, distorted or leaking.
