Transfer Box Cover Gasket seals the joint between the transfer box cover and the transfer case.

It forms an oil-tight seal across the cover-to-case mating face, preventing transfer box oil leakage and the ingress of dirt and moisture. Renewed whenever the cover is removed for inspection or rebuild.

The transfer box cover gasket seals the joint between the transfer box cover and the case. It forms an oil-tight seal across the mating face, keeping transfer box oil in and dirt and moisture out. Fitted to the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic with the LT77S transfer box.

Can the transfer box cover gasket be reused?

No, the transfer box cover gasket should be replaced every time the cover is removed. Once compressed and disturbed it won't reseal reliably, and reusing it typically leads to oil weeping from the cover joint. Renew it whenever you open the transfer box.

How many gaskets do I need for the job?
