Rear Brake Mudshield (Left-Hand) is a stamped backing plate that fits behind the rear brake disc within the rear disc brake assembly.

It shields the inboard face of the disc and the caliper from road spray, mud and debris thrown up by the wheel, helping to keep the friction surfaces clean and reduce contamination of the braking surface. This is the left-hand (LH) shield for the rear axle.
