Brake Disc - Rear - Solid - Coated is a solid (non-vented) disc forming the friction surface of the rear disc brake assembly, supplied with a protective coating.
The disc mounts to the rear hub and rotates between the caliper's brake pads; the clamping force applied by the pads generates the braking torque at the rear axle. It suits installations both with and without anti-lock braking.
The coating protects the hat, edges and non-friction faces against corrosion. It wears away from the friction faces during the first few brake applications after fitting.
Two discs are required per vehicle. Brake discs should be renewed as an axle set, with new pads fitted at the same time.
