Mounted on the inboard face of the door at the base of the window aperture, it wipes the glass to keep water and dust out of the door cavity and steadies the glass as it is raised and lowered.

The MTC8473 door inner waist seal runs along the inner waistline of the front door on the Land Rover Defender, sealing against the window glass. It wipes the glass as it's raised and lowered, keeping water and dust out of the door cavity and steadying the glass.
What's the difference between the inner and outer waist seal?
The inner waist seal sits on the inboard face of the door, against the cabin side of the glass, while the outer seal wipes the outside face. This is the inner front seal. If water is getting past the outside of the glass, you'll want the outer seal instead.
How many inner waist seals do I need for the front doors?
