The RTC5012 is the dome-type front side (parking) lamp for the exterior lighting circuit on Series 2, 2A, 3, and early Defender. It mounts on the front face of the vehicle providing position and marker lighting, and is supplied without a bulb.

How many side lamps does a Defender or Series Land Rover need?

Two side lamps are needed per vehicle, one for each side of the front. This quantity is confirmed in the SAP fitment data for the Defender application.

Does this side lamp fit all Defenders, or is there a VIN cutoff?

On Defender, this lamp fits vehicles up to VIN MA940004. Defenders built after this VIN use a revised front lamp cluster design. For Series 2, 2A, and 3, it's a straight replacement across all variants of the dome-type lamp.
