Brake Pad Set is a set of front disc brake friction pads for the front-axle braking assembly.

The pads locate in the front brake calipers and are clamped against the brake disc to generate the friction that slows the wheel. Supplied as an axle set covering both front wheels, and best renewed as a complete set with the discs inspected at the same time.

Also order brake pad wear sensor SEM500050 when replacing these pads.

Should the discs be replaced at the same time as the pads?

Inspect them at the same time. New pads on a worn or lipped disc bed in poorly and can judder. On an L322 or L320 the front discs carry a lot of weight, so check thickness and surface condition against the workshop manual before deciding.

How do I confirm this fits my Range Rover?

Use the VIN. The L322 fitment runs from 6A000001 to 9A999999 and the L320 runs to 9A999999. The set covers cars on 18 and 19 inch wheels, with 19 inch front vented and 18 inch rear vented brakes, so check the wheel and brake package too.

What are the signs the front pads need replacing?

Squeal under light braking, longer pedal travel, or visible material down near the backing plate. On an L322 or L320 a warning from the pad wear sensor is often the first prompt, and the sensor is normally renewed with the pads.
