Frequently asked questions

What is the plenum chamber screw used for?
The plenum chamber screw secures the plenum chamber to the inlet manifold ram housing on the V8 EFI petrol engine. The plenum distributes incoming air to the cylinder intake runners, and this screw holds the joint so the intake stays airtight. It fits the Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.
Where does this screw fit on the engine?
This screw fits on the V8 EFI petrol induction system, fixing the plenum chamber down onto the inlet manifold ram housing. It sits on top of the intake on the Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic, at the joint where the plenum meets the manifold.
How many plenum chamber screws are needed?
The plenum chamber is held by several screws, so the number you need depends on how many you're replacing. They're typically supplied individually on the Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic V8 EFI, so count the fixings on your plenum and order to match.
