Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.
Turbo Oil Feed Pipe delivers pressurised engine oil to the turbocharger, part of the turbocharger lubrication circuit.

Fitted to the 2.2L 16V TDCi (Puma) diesel engine, it carries oil from the engine oil supply to the turbocharger centre bearing housing, lubricating and cooling the shaft bearings. A restricted or leaking feed pipe starves the turbo bearings of oil and is a common cause of premature turbocharger failure, so it is often renewed when a turbo is replaced.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Turbo Oil Feed Pipe do?
The Turbo Oil Feed Pipe delivers pressurised engine oil to the turbocharger on the 2.2L TDCi Puma Defender 2007-2016. It carries oil from the engine supply to the turbo centre bearing housing, lubricating and cooling the shaft bearings.
Why does the turbo oil feed pipe fail?
A restricted or leaking turbo oil feed pipe starves the turbocharger bearings of oil, a common cause of premature turbo failure on the 2.2L TDCi Puma Defender. Restriction typically builds from oil coking inside the narrow feed passage.
Should the oil feed pipe be replaced with a new turbo?
Yes, the turbo oil feed pipe is typically renewed whenever the turbocharger is replaced on the 2.2L TDCi Defender. Reusing a pipe with restricted flow risks starving the new turbo of oil and repeating the failure.
