Upper Link Ball Joint for the rear suspension A-frame (top link) assembly.
The joint sits at the apex of the A-frame and connects the upper link to the fulcrum bracket on the rear axle casing. It locates the axle laterally and at its upper mounting while allowing the axle to roll and articulate relative to the chassis under suspension travel.
Wear at this joint is felt as rear-axle wander, vague rear-end tracking and a knock from beneath the load area over bumps. An adjustable pattern of the same joint is also available, allowing developing free play to be taken up without replacement.
