Waterpomp voor het motorkoelcircuit van de 2.5L 4-cilinder atmosferische diesel-, benzine- en pre-TDi turbodieselmotoren. Riemaangedreven vanaf de voorkant van de motor, circuleert het koelvloeistof door het blok, de cilinderkop en de radiateur om de motor op bedrijfstemperatuur te houden.

Dit is de viskeuze-type pomp die wordt gebruikt bij installaties die zijn uitgerust met airconditioning en de A127 65A dynamo, en accepteert een viskeuze ventilatorkoppeling op de aandrijfkrans.

Een pakking dicht de pomp af aan het voorste deksel; sommige pompvarianten worden geleverd met deze pakking, terwijl andere deze apart nodig hebben.

What does the STC635 water pump do?
The STC635 water pump circulates coolant through the block, cylinder head and radiator on the 2.5 litre 4-cylinder engine, keeping it at operating temperature. It's the viscous-type pump, belt-driven from the front of the engine, and accepts a viscous fan coupling on its drive flange.
How do I know if I need the viscous STC635 pump or another version?
The STC635 is the viscous water pump used on the 2.5 litre 4-cylinder Defender when it's fitted with air conditioning and the A127 65A alternator. If your vehicle has that setup and takes a viscous fan coupling, this is the correct pump. Check your alternator and fan type before ordering.
Does the STC635 come with a gasket?
Some STC635 pumps include the front cover gasket and some don't, so check the listing or inspect the pump on arrival. A gasket seals the pump to the front cover on the 2.5 litre engine, and you'll need one to refit the pump. Have a spare gasket ready in case it's supplied bare.
What are the signs the STC635 water pump needs replacing?
Common signs are coolant weeping from the pump's weep hole, a bearing rumble or whine from the front of the engine, or the 2.5 litre engine running hot. A failing viscous water pump can cause overheating and head gasket damage if it's left, so replace it once these symptoms show.
