Veer remschoen voor voor de trommelrem aan de voorzijde. Deze retourveer verbindt de twee remschoenen en trekt ze terug van de trommel wanneer de remmen worden losgelaten, waardoor de speling tussen schoen en trommel behouden blijft en de schoenen volledig terugtrekken na elke toepassing.

De veer bevindt zich tussen de schoenwebben in de remankerplaat en werkt tegen de wielremcilinder om een consistente terugtrekking van de schoen en een stabiel pedaalgevoel te bieden.
