Oliekoelerthermostaat - de thermostatische regelklep in het oliekoelcircuit van de motor.

Het regelt de oliestroom naar de oliekoeler als reactie op de olietemperatuur, beperkt de stroom door de koeler terwijl de olie nog koud is en opent geleidelijk om olie door de koeler te leiden zodra deze de bedrijfstemperatuur bereikt. Dit houdt het smeermiddel binnen zijn doeltemperatuurband en voorkomt overkoeling tijdens het opwarmen.

Gemonteerd aan de oliekoeleraansluiting op zowel viercilinder- als V8-toepassingen die zijn uitgerust met een motoroliekoeler.
