O-ring - Afdichting oliepomphuis is de afdichtende O-ring die in het oliepomphuis van de 200TDi 2,5L 4-cilinder turbodieselmotor is gemonteerd.

De O-ring zorgt voor een statische afdichting tussen de pasvlakken van het oliepomphuis, voorkomt olielekkage uit het geheel en handhaaft de juiste oliedruk in het smeercircuit dat de motorkanalen voedt.

What is the oil pump housing seal for?
The oil pump housing seal is a static O-ring fitted within the oil pump housing on the 200TDi 2.5L turbo diesel engine. It seals the mating surfaces of the housing, preventing oil leakage from the assembly and maintaining oil pressure in the engine galleries. It fits the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic 200TDi.
Should the housing seal be replaced during a rebuild?
Fit a new housing seal whenever the oil pump is dismantled. The O-ring typically hardens and takes a set once compressed, so reusing it risks an internal oil leak or pressure loss within the pump. It's a low-cost item to renew during the job.
How do I confirm this seal fits my vehicle?
On the Discovery 1 this seal fits the 2.5L 200TDi oil pump up to VIN LA081991; on the Range Rover Classic it fits the 200TDi from VIN JA610294. The Defender application covers the 200TDi. Check your VIN against these breaks before ordering.
