De as vormt het draaipunt waarop de koppelingshefboom zwaait, waardoor de beweging van de koppelingscilinder wordt omgezet in verplaatsing van het druklager tegen het diafragma van de koppelingsplaat. Geschikt voor V8-benzinemotoren met de handgeschakelde 5-versnellingsbak.
