Spatlap voor de wielkast is ontworpen om aan de voor- of achterwielkast te installeren om opspattend water, modder en vuil dat door de band wordt weggeslingerd tijdens het rijden te verminderen.

De spatlap wordt aan de achterrand van de wielkast gemonteerd en functioneert als onderdeel van het exterieurbeschermingssysteem, waardoor verontreiniging van de zijpanelen van de carrosserie, onderdelen van de onderzijde van de carrosserie en achterliggende voertuigen wordt beperkt.
