Frequently asked questions

What is the AMR3444 wiring assembly?

The AMR3444 is a genuine Land Rover electrical wiring assembly for the Defender. It forms part of the vehicle's body electrical system, carrying power and signals through a pre-built harness section with the correct connectors for its circuit.

Which Defenders does this harness fit?

This wiring assembly fits the Defender, 1987-2006, up to VIN (V)LA939975. The VIN ceiling matters, as Defenders built after this point typically use a revised harness, so check your VIN before ordering this part.

Why does the VIN cut-off matter for this harness?

The VIN cut-off matters because the Defender wiring changed at VIN (V)LA939975. Harnesses are circuit and connector specific, so a harness for an earlier vehicle typically won't match the later wiring layout. Matching your VIN avoids connector and routing mismatches.
