Frequently asked questions

What is the ERR3734A water pump pulley for?
The ERR3734A is the water pump pulley for the 2.5L 300TDi turbo diesel. It bolts to the coolant pump hub and is turned by the auxiliary drive belt, transferring rotation to the pump impeller to keep coolant flowing.
Where on the engine is this pulley located?
The pulley sits on the front of the 300TDi engine at the coolant pump, in the auxiliary belt drive. The belt runs over it to spin the pump. It fits Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic 300TDi.
When should the water pump pulley be replaced?
A water pump pulley is typically replaced if it's corroded, distorted or has a damaged belt groove, which can throw or shred the drive belt. It's usually inspected whenever the belt or coolant pump is changed on the 300TDi.
