Description:
Turbo Hose is the charge air transfer hose connecting the intercooler outlet to the inlet manifold on the Defender 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine.
Following compression by the turbocharger, charge air passes through the intercooler to reduce its temperature before entering the engine. This hose forms the final connection between the intercooler and the inlet manifold, carrying the cooled, pressurised charge air into the combustion chambers. A secure, split-free hose is essential for maintaining boost pressure and preventing charge air leaks that would reduce engine performance and increase exhaust smoke. Replacement is required when the hose shows cracking, softening, or splits - particularly at the end connections.
