Baulk Ring for the R380 5-speed manual gearbox synchromesh assembly.
The baulk ring (also known as the synchromesh ring) is the friction cone element within each synchro hub assembly. During a gear change, the baulk ring contacts the synchro cone on the gear, matching shaft and gear speeds before the dog teeth can engage. A worn or damaged baulk ring results in crunching, difficulty selecting gears, or gear clash. Sold individually.
