Sill Protector in aluminium, fitted over the outer sill panel below the door apertures to shield the original sill from stone chips, mud abrasion and impact damage.
The sill is one of the most exposed panels on the body and costly to put right once dented or corroded. An over-panel takes that punishment in its place and can be renewed on its own, leaving the structure underneath untouched. Aluminium is used in preference to steel because it will not rust where road salt and moisture collect behind the panel.
