Bonnet Buffer is a resilient rubber cushion that forms part of the bonnet closure assembly at the front of the body.

It provides the stop the bonnet rests against when closed, taking up clearance to prevent rattle and vibration and setting the seated height of the bonnet at its bearing point. The buffer locates into the front panel or wing top and compresses slightly as the bonnet is latched down.
