Clip Nut spring-steel fastener that provides a captive threaded fixing point on panels and brackets.

The nut clips over the edge of a panel or slides into a punched hole, locating itself so a screw can be driven into the threaded section from the opposite face. The spring action holds the nut captive during assembly and lets it absorb minor vibration without backing off. It is renewed when the thread strips or the spring legs lose tension.
