This O-ring seals the joint between the air filter housing outlet and the airflow meter (mass air sensor) inlet, ensuring all incoming air is metered and preventing unmetered air from entering the intake downstream of the filter. Fitted to V8 EFI petrol applications.

What does the V8 EFI air filter O-ring do?
The O-ring seals the joint between the air filter housing outlet and the airflow meter inlet on V8 EFI petrol engines. It stops unmetered air entering the intake downstream of the filter, so the airflow meter reads all incoming air correctly. Fitted across the Range Rover Classic, P38, Discovery 1 and V8 Defender.
Why does this air intake O-ring need replacing?
