Air Inlet Hose - the flexible ducting between the air cleaner and the turbocharger in the engine air intake system.
It carries filtered air from the air cleaner outlet to the turbocharger inlet. A cracked, split or perished hose allows unmetered air and dust into the intake and can cause a loss of boost, so it is checked and replaced as part of intake maintenance.
