Frequently asked questions

What is the PCH119060 bottom radiator hose and which Defender does it fit?
The PCH119060 is the bottom radiator hose for the Defender 300 TDi engine, connecting the radiator lower outlet to the water pump. It fits Defender 1987 to 2006 with the 2.5L 300 TDi diesel engine, from VIN YA608373 onwards.
What comes supplied with this hose?
The PCH119060 comes with two 32-50 mm hose clamps and two 16-27 mm hose clamps included, so no additional clamps are needed for a straightforward replacement.
Why do bottom radiator hoses fail on the Defender 300 TDi?
The bottom hose cycles between high temperature and cold starts repeatedly. Internal swelling, pin-hole weeping at the moulded bends, and hardening of the outer rubber are the most common failure modes. A collapsed hose at idle can restrict coolant flow and trigger overheating before any visible leak appears.
