Rear Knuckle Bush - Upper from the rear independent suspension knuckle assembly.

The bush presses into the upper bore of the rear knuckle and forms the pivot between the knuckle and the upper suspension arm, allowing the knuckle to move through suspension travel while damping road noise and shock loads.

Once the rubber has deteriorated the knuckle shifts on its mounting under cornering and braking loads, giving rear-end knock, unsettled rear tracking and uneven rear tyre wear. Rear wheel alignment should be checked after replacement.

Frequently asked questions

What is the RHF000260 rear knuckle bush and what does it do?
The RHF000260 rear upper knuckle bush presses into the upper bore of the rear knuckle on the Range Rover L322. It forms the pivot between the knuckle and the upper suspension arm, letting the knuckle move through suspension travel while damping road shock and noise.
Where is the rear knuckle bush located on a Range Rover L322?
The rear knuckle bush sits in the upper bore of the rear knuckle, part of the L322 rear independent suspension. It connects the knuckle to the upper suspension arm, so it typically wears alongside the arm bushes.
How many RHF000260 bushes are needed for a full rear repair?
Two RHF000260 bushes are typically needed to do both sides, one per rear knuckle. Many owners replace them in pairs so the rear suspension wears evenly, though a single bush covers one side if only one has failed.
Why does the rear knuckle bush fail on a Range Rover L322?
The rear knuckle bush fails when its rubber perishes and cracks with age and load, letting the knuckle move on its mounting. Symptoms typically include clunks over bumps, vague rear handling and uneven tyre wear. Left unchanged it accelerates wear in the surrounding suspension joints.
Does the RHF000260 fit both early and late L322 models?
The RHF000260 fits Range Rover L322 from 2002-2012 across all engines, covering both the early build to VIN 9A999999 and the later build from AA000001. Use your VIN to confirm the exact rear knuckle bush variant for your vehicle.
