Bleed Hose is a small-bore coolant hose within the expansion tank and hose assembly of the engine cooling system.

It connects the expansion tank to the throttle body coolant take-off, venting trapped air from the circuit back to the tank so the system can bleed itself as it fills. Perishing at the moulded ends is the usual failure, showing as a slow coolant loss around the tank and an unstable coolant level.

For V8 petrol applications.
