Spring Dislocation Cones - Front are fitted inside the front coil springs to prevent spring dislocation under maximum suspension droop. During extreme off-road articulation, the range of downward axle travel can cause the coil spring to separate entirely from its upper seat; these cones retain the spring on the upper platform throughout the full suspension travel range.

Typically fitted as part of a suspension lift installation where the increased ride height and extended travel range make spring retention a practical requirement.

Frequently asked questions

What are the TF501 spring dislocation cones?
TF501 are front spring dislocation cones. They fit inside the front coil springs and keep each spring located on its upper seat when the axle drops to full droop during extreme articulation.
When do I need dislocation cones?
Dislocation cones are typically fitted as part of a suspension lift, where raised ride height and extended travel let the front springs separate from their seats at full droop. The TF501 cones make sure the spring re-seats cleanly under compression.
Are there alternative part numbers for TF501?
TF501 cross-references to BA 7544 and BA 3650. Any of these numbers identifies the same front spring dislocation cone application for the Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic.
Which vehicles do these front cones fit?
The TF501 front cones fit the Defender 90, 110 and 130, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic, which share coil-sprung front axles. Rear applications typically use different parts, so confirm you are ordering for the front.
