Frequently asked questions

What is the NTC7670 front brake hose and what does it do?
The NTC7670 is the flexible front brake hose that carries hydraulic fluid from the rigid chassis brake line to the front caliper. It flexes with steering and suspension movement while holding full braking pressure, and fits the Range Rover Classic front circuit on both sides.
How many front brake hoses does a Range Rover Classic need?
SAP fitment data lists two per wheel on non-ABS Range Rover Classic front brakes. It's good practice to renew both front hoses together so braking stays even, and to bleed the front circuit fully afterwards.
Does the NTC7670 fit both ABS and non-ABS Range Rover Classics?
Yes, the NTC7670 fits left- and right-hand sides, with or without ABS, on the Range Rover Classic from VIN JA610294. Check your chassis number falls at or after this VIN before ordering.
Why do front brake hoses fail and when should they be replaced?
Front brake hoses typically fail through perishing, surface cracking or internal swelling that restricts flow or causes bulging under pressure. Signs include a spongy pedal, fluid weeping or uneven braking. Replace them across the axle rather than singly.
