Oil Pump Relief Valve Spring - sets the pressure at which the oil pump's relief valve opens.

It holds the relief valve plunger closed against the oil gallery until pressure exceeds the calibrated limit, then yields to let the valve bleed off excess oil, capping peak pressure in the engine lubrication system.
