The 242127 is a rear leaf-spring U-bolt for the Land Rover Series I, II, IIA and III 88-inch wheelbase. It passes around the rear axle tube and clamps the axle against the leaf spring pack via the lower retaining plate, locating the axle and preventing lateral movement under load.

How many U-bolts are typically needed for a rear spring repair?

A rear spring repair typically uses two U-bolts per axle end, one each side of the centre spring clamp. Order two of the 242127 for one corner. Replacing both rear corners at the same time usually takes four bolts in total.
