Wielremcilinder voor de trommelremassemblage - de linker hydraulische hulpcilinder die de remschoenen bedient. Dezelfde cilinder wordt zowel vooraan als achteraan gebruikt.

Gevoed door de remleiding van de hoofdremcilinder, bewegen de zuigers van de cilinder naar buiten onder hydraulische druk om de remschoenen tegen de trommel te drukken, en trekken zich vervolgens terug wanneer de druk wegvalt. Een lekkende of vastzittende cilinder veroorzaakt een zacht pedaal, vloeistofverlies of een slepende rem, en wordt als complete eenheid vervangen.
