Frequently asked questions

What is the RQG100041 air suspension compressor used for?
The RQG100041 is the air suspension levelling compressor for the Discovery 2 (1998-2004). Made by Wabco, it pressurises the rear air springs to maintain ride height. It includes O-rings and replaces original numbers ANR4868, RQG100040 and RQG10004.
Does the compressor need any extra parts fitted with it?
Yes. This Wabco compressor must be fitted together with companion part RQB000540, or the warranty is void. It includes O-rings, but the RQB000540 part is mandatory on the Discovery 2 install. Fit it alongside to keep the 2-year guarantee valid.
What are the signs the air suspension compressor is failing?
A failing air suspension compressor typically shows as slow rise, the rear sitting low, the compressor running for a long time or not at all, and suspension fault warnings. On the Discovery 2 a worn compressor often overheats from a leaking system. Fix leaks first.
My compressor is marked ANR4868, is this the right replacement?
Yes. The RQG100041 replaces the older Discovery 2 compressor numbers ANR4868, RQG100040 and RQG10004, all listed as alternatives. If your old unit or paperwork shows any of those numbers, this Wabco compressor is the correct replacement.
