Frequently asked questions

What is the TF522 +2 inch skeleton shock turret?
The TF522 is a fabricated upper front shock mounting turret that stands 2 inches taller than the standard pressed turret. The added height suits extended long-travel front shock absorbers, giving the damper room to compress fully without bottoming against the turret.
Why is the TF522 turret an open skeleton design?
The TF522's open skeleton construction clears the hose and reservoir when running remote-reservoir front shock absorbers, which a closed pressed turret can foul. It's built from tubular steel for greater strength than the original turret pressing.
Are the TF522 turrets fitted in pairs?
The front suspension uses one shock turret on each side, so they're typically fitted as a pair for a matched setup. The +2 inch height is designed around long-travel front shocks, so both sides should run the same turret.
