Swivel Pin Shim for the front axle swivel housing assembly. This 0.030" shim is fitted beneath the upper swivel pin retaining plate and is used to set the swivel pin bearing preload, controlling the pivoting resistance and free play of the steering swivel.

Shims of differing thickness are selected during assembly to bring the swivel pin preload to specification; the 0.030" size is one increment in that range.
