Brake Hose – 1-Ton is the front flexible hose in the front brake hydraulic circuit. It carries fluid from the rigid brake pipe on the chassis to the front brake, flexing to absorb steering and suspension movement while keeping the line sealed under pressure.

This is the heavier-duty 1-Ton specification. The hose measures approximately 365 mm overall, with male threaded unions at both ends to connect to the female pipe unions on the vehicle.

A brake hose is a safety-critical wearing item: the bore can perish or collapse internally with age, so it should be inspected for cracking, swelling and chafing and renewed when deteriorated.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 1-Ton brake hose do?
The 1-Ton brake hose is the front flexible hose in the front brake hydraulic circuit. It carries fluid from the rigid brake pipe on the chassis to the front brake, flexing with steering and suspension movement while keeping the line sealed under pressure. This is the heavier-duty 1-Ton specification with threaded unions at each end.
What are the signs a brake hose needs replacing?
Replace a brake hose when it cracks, swells under pressure, or chafes through the outer cover. The bore can also perish or collapse internally with age, which restricts braking. Inspect the hose for these signs and renew it once deteriorated, as it's a safety-critical part of the front brake circuit.
Which vehicles does the 1-Ton brake hose fit?
This 1-Ton brake hose fits Land Rover Series II and III 1-Ton (109 inch) models only. The 1-Ton specification differs from the standard hose, so confirm your vehicle is the 1-Ton variant before ordering.
