Description:
Oil seal installed within the wheel hub assembly to retain lubricant and prevent contamination ingress at the hub-to-stub axle interface.
The seal operates within the hub bearing and hub housing assembly, maintaining the internal lubricant environment for the wheel bearings while excluding water, dust and debris from the rotating hub cavity.
Used on solid axle hub assemblies where the hub rotates on tapered roller bearings mounted on the stub axle. The seal installs in the rear of the hub housing and runs against the stub axle sealing surface, forming the primary barrier between the lubricated hub bearing chamber and the external environment.
