Heater Control Valve regulates the flow of engine coolant into the heater matrix, forming part of the cabin HVAC heating circuit.
The valve is cable-operated: a Bowden cable driven by the dashboard temperature control opens and closes the valve to vary heat output to the heater core. It mounts at the front of the cylinder head, in the coolant feed line between the engine and the heater matrix.
