Oil Filter for the VM 2.4L and 2.5L 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine in the Range Rover Classic.
This filter is fitted in the engine lubrication circuit to remove contaminants from the oil before it is distributed to the crankshaft bearings, camshaft, and valve train. It is a scheduled service replacement item. Applies to the VM diesel engine used in Range Rover Classic models from 1986 to 1994, covering both the earlier 2.4L unit (to VIN HA610293) and the later 2.5L unit (from VIN JA610294).
