Frequently asked questions

What is the BTR8726 heater hose and what does it do?
The BTR8726 heater hose runs between the heater matrix outlet and the heater control valve, carrying engine coolant through the cabin heating circuit. It's a genuine Land Rover hose forming part of the cooling and heating system on V8 petrol models.
Which vehicles does this heater hose fit?
The BTR8726 fits Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic V8 petrol models. This hose was subject to a VIN running change during production, so confirm fitment against your VIN before ordering to be sure you get the correct hose.
Why do heater hoses like this need replacing?
Heater hoses typically harden, perish or split with age and heat cycling, which leads to coolant leaks and loss of cabin heat. Replacing the hose restores a sealed heating circuit and prevents coolant loss on these V8 Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models.
