Injector O-Ring (Large) - the larger of the two sealing O-rings fitted to each fuel injector, sealing the injector into the fuel rail.

Fitted to the V8 EFI petrol engine. It seals the pressurised fuel connection at the upper end of the injector, preventing leakage where the injector meets the fuel rail.

What is the Large Injector O-Ring for the V8 EFI used for?

What size is this injector O-ring?

The large injector O-ring measures 31mm outside diameter, 22mm inside diameter and 8mm thick. It's the larger of the two O-rings on each V8 EFI injector. Match these dimensions against your old seal, as the smaller lower O-ring is a different size and isn't interchangeable.

How many O-rings do I need for the V8 EFI injectors?

The V8 EFI engine has eight injectors, each using this large O-ring, so a full set needs eight. They're sold individually, so order the quantity the job needs. The smaller lower O-ring on each injector is a separate part.

Should these O-rings be reused?

No, injector O-rings should not be reused once disturbed. On the V8 EFI engine the rubber takes a set and hardens with fuel and heat exposure, so a reused O-ring often weeps fuel at the rail. Fit new O-rings whenever the injectors come out, and check for leaks after refitting.
