Frequently asked questions

What is the ESR2934 intercooler hose used for?
The intercooler hose carries compressed charge air through the intercooler circuit to the inlet tract on the 200TDi. It's moulded and reinforced to hold its shape and stay sealed under boost.
Where does the intercooler hose sit on the 200TDi?
The intercooler hose links the intercooler into the boost circuit between the turbocharger and the engine's inlet tract. It's part of the charge-air ducting on the 200TDi induction system.
Which 200TDi models does it fit?
Fits the 200TDi Defender (1990-1994), Discovery 1 (1989-1994) and Range Rover Classic (1992-1994). Use your VIN to confirm the engine variant.
Why does the intercooler hose fail?
An intercooler hose typically perishes, splits or balloons under boost pressure and heat, causing boost loss, power drop and smoke on the 200TDi. Replace a soft or cracked hose.
