Radiator for the engine cooling system, mounted at the front of the vehicle to dissipate heat from the coolant circulated by the water pump. Air drawn through the core, assisted by the cooling fan, lowers the coolant temperature before it returns to the engine.

Built with an aluminium core and secured by stud fixings. For the 2.5 turbo diesel (19J) engine, the pre-Tdi turbodiesel, and not the 200/300 Tdi or Td5.

Frequently asked questions

What does the NTC6168R Radiator do?
The NTC6168R Radiator sits at the front of the vehicle and dissipates heat from the engine coolant. Air drawn through its aluminium core, helped by the cooling fan, lowers the coolant temperature before it returns to the engine.
Which engine is this radiator for?
This radiator is specifically for the 2.5 Turbo Diesel (19J) engine, the pre-Tdi turbodiesel. It does not suit the 200Tdi, 300Tdi or Td5. Check your engine is the 19J before ordering, as the later diesels use different radiators.
What are the signs a radiator needs replacing?
Radiators typically fail through internal corrosion, furring or a split core that leaks coolant, which leads to overheating. Coolant loss, a rising temperature gauge or visible leaks at the core usually mean it's time to replace it.
Which model does this radiator fit?
This aluminium-core radiator fits the Land Rover Defender (1986-2006) with the 2.5 Turbo Diesel 19J engine and mounts with stud fixings. It also cross-references to NTC2925, NTC3614 and NTC4839, which identify the same radiator.
