Taper Roller Bearing - Differential Pinion - Inner supports the drive pinion shaft within the differential crownwheel and pinion assembly.

The inner bearing is the one nearest the pinion head. It carries the radial and axial loads passed from the propshaft through the pinion to the crownwheel, and together with the outer pinion bearing it sets the pinion's running position and preload. Correct preload is essential to quiet, durable operation of the final drive.

Fitted during a differential overhaul or when replacing worn or noisy pinion bearings.
