Achterremtrommel gemonteerd in de achtertrommelremconstructie van het remsysteem van het voertuig. De trommel wordt op de achternaaf gemonteerd en draait mee met het wiel, waardoor het frictieoppervlak ontstaat waartegen de remschoenen uitzetten tijdens het remmen.

Wanneer de hydraulische druk van de hoofdremcilinder de wielremcilinder bedient, drukken de remschoenen naar buiten tegen het interne oppervlak van de trommel, waardoor wrijving ontstaat om de wielrotatie te vertragen. Dit onderdeel functioneert binnen de achtertrommelremconstructie en maakt rechtstreeks contact met de remschoenen, wielremcilinder en de flens voor naafmontage.

Toegepast in voertuigen met achterremmen die zijn uitgerust met 10-inch achtertrommelremconstructies.
