Deze borgring houdt het achterste hoofdaslager in de versnellingsbakbehuizing, waardoor axiale beweging van het lager onder aandrijfkrachten wordt voorkomen. Het wordt gemonteerd in de machinaal bewerkte groef op de hoofdas bij de achterste lagerpositie.
