Keerring hoofdas versnellingsbak voor de achterzijde van de handgeschakelde versnellingsbak, die de hoofdas afdicht waar deze door het achterste deel van het hoofdas-en-tandwielgedeelte loopt.

De keerring draait op de roterende hoofdas en houdt de versnellingsbakolie aan de uitgangszijde vast, waardoor lekkage langs de as wordt voorkomen. Deze wordt vernieuwd telkens wanneer de achterzijde van de versnellingsbak wordt gedemonteerd of wanneer er een lekkage aan de uitgangszijde optreedt.
