Brand NSL
Brake/Clutch Fluid - DOT4 is a glycol-ether based hydraulic fluid for the brake and clutch hydraulic systems.

It transmits pedal effort from the master cylinder through to the wheel cylinders, calipers and clutch slave cylinder. The DOT4 specification gives a high boiling point to resist vapour lock under sustained heavy braking. Supplied in a 1 litre container.

Brake fluid is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture over time, so it should be renewed at the recommended service interval.

Frequently asked questions

What is DOT4 brake and clutch fluid used for?
DOT4 brake and clutch fluid is a glycol-ether hydraulic fluid that transmits pedal effort from the master cylinder to the calipers, wheel cylinders and clutch slave cylinder. The DOT4 specification gives a high boiling point to resist vapour lock under heavy braking.
Can this fluid be used for both the brakes and the clutch?
Yes, this DOT4 fluid serves both the brake and clutch hydraulic systems, which typically share the same fluid on these vehicles. It's supplied in a 1 litre container.
Why does brake fluid need renewing?
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, so it absorbs moisture over time. That lowers its boiling point and raises the risk of vapour lock under sustained heavy braking. Renew it at your vehicle's service schedule to keep the pedal firm.
