Front Seat Belt, Left-Hand for the front left-hand seating position. It forms part of the vehicle's occupant restraint system.

The assembly is an inertia-reel seat belt: a self-locking retractor and webbing with the latch tongue that engages the seat buckle. The retractor pays out and retracts the webbing under normal movement and locks under sudden deceleration to restrain the occupant.

Frequently asked questions

What is the EVB500830 seat belt for?

The EVB500830 is a left-hand front seat belt for the Land Rover Defender. It's the seat belt that restrains the front left occupant on later Puma-era Defenders.

Which Defenders does the EVB500830 fit?

The EVB500830 left-hand front seat belt fits the Land Rover Defender from 2007 to 2016, from VIN 7A000001, across 110, 130, Crew Cab, High Capacity Pick Up and 5-door Station Wagon body styles. Confirm your VIN is above that break and the belt is the LH front.

What is the right-hand equivalent?

The right-hand front seat belt for the same Defenders is EVB500820. Check which side you need before ordering, as the left and right assemblies are not interchangeable.

Should this seat belt be replaced after a crash?

Yes, replace a front seat belt that was in use during a crash rather than reusing it. The belt absorbs crash load once and may not restrain properly afterwards. On the Defender, fit a new belt after any significant impact and check the anchor points.
